Gallery Chair specializes in art-inspired seating as well as sleek contemporary and non-traditional pieces. Our sister company, Abbey Custom Textiles, can print almost anything, from fine art to vintage prints to your own original art or photographs, onto genuine upholstery-weight fabric.

Our master furniture technicians then apply that fabric to your choice of dozens of furniture forms and styles available in our shop on this site.

We can also build your totally original custom furniture for you! Whether your idea is in a CAD drawing or scribbled on a napkin, Gallery Chair can make true custom as easy standard. Art chairs, sofas, a bed, bench or throw pillows--Gallery Chair's art and design team can create it!

Our sister company, Abbey Custom Textiles, gives you access to top-of-the-line genuine upholstery fabrics printed with any public domain art and design images, original art with artist's permission, or your personal photos or works of art. When added to your Gallery Chair frame selection, your custom furniture can become art itself!

The vast majority of our frames are built in the United States and Italy. Most are hardwood frames and are available in a variety of finishes. We also offer a number of metal frames. Whatever your preference, we are sure that you will find the style and finish that will complement your space. Gallery Chair staff can also build custom furniture pieces to your specifications.

With custom printed fabrics from Abbey Custom Textiles, our fine hardwood frames, and our graphic art and design team, your vision can become your very own piece of art furniture. Our furniture frames come in a wide array of styles, from classic to contemporary, and Abbey's upholstery fabric prints are limited only by your preferences and imagination. Select your Frame

Select a custom furniture frame from over 200 on our site. You may place your order online in our Shop or by phone after consultation with our team.

Please note that the prices shown in our shop include only the frame, finish and padding, and do not include the fabric or the fabric design fee.

Design your Fabric

Take a look under our Inspiration tab or design your own with personal art, photographs, your child's art or anything else as long as you own it or it's in the public domain. Our graphic art and design team will be happy to work with you either online or by phone to make sure your fabric design is perfect. Your custom-printed fabric will be ordered from and printed by Abbey Custom Textiles.

Select your Finish

Select a furniture style and wood finish. You may place your order online in our Shop or by phone after consultation with our art and design team. If you desire a painted or powder-coated custom furniture finish, please contact us. Wood finishes are shown on our Styles and Options page.

Contact

Send us an email with a short description of your vision, your phone number and the best time to call you for a consultation regarding your custom furniture! A phone call is necessary so that we can discuss the particulars and make sure you receive a truly wonderful custom piece.

Approve

Within 2 business days, we will send a proof photo showing the approximate scale and appearance of your fabric on your art chairs, sofa or bed. Abbey's design team will allow one revision at no charge--anything beyond a simple revision is billed at $75 per hour to cover the cost of paying Abbey's graphic art and design team.

Enjoy

We ship your custom furniture within 4-6 weeks of your approval date.
